On 26 November 2025, a delegation of the National Judicial Council of Hungary paid a working visit to the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic.
Ms Mgr. Marcela Kosová, President, gave a detailed presentation of the composition, activities and competences of the Judicial Council of the Slovak Republic. Afterwards, the participants were given a short tour of the Governor’s Palace, which serves as the seat of the Judicial Council, and were introduced to its history.
The members of the Hungarian delegation were also received at the Bratislava Regional Court by Mr JUDr. Boris Tóth, President of the Bratislava Regional Court. In the framework of a professional exchange of experience, the participants discussed the state of the judiciary in the two countries and presented to each other the current challenges they are facing. The representatives of the National Judicial Council of Hungary also had the opportunity to visit one of the oldest, historically significant courtrooms in the Palace of Justice, where, with the guidance of a specialist judge, they learned about the famous historical criminal trials held there, including, for example, the trial of Jozef Tiso.
The visit concluded with an informal discussion, during which the participants unanimously considered the meeting a success and agreed to continue bilateral contacts and further exchanges of professional experience.
